"I would like to see Roadable Aircraft be developed as a sport."

The High-Wing Version Of A Design From

Bill Snead

SneadAsaPlane

This is the high-wing model of Bill Snead's roadable aircraft and some features of this version are different from the pusher design. The craft has a fixed front axel that is both a steering and a drive axel. The rear axel would be placed just aft of the center of gravity when the machine is in the aircraft mode. When the craft is in the auto mode, the rear axel would be moved to a position near the rear of the vehicle.

The wings are removed and stacked in the back of the craft when the craft is traveling on highways.

Bill Snead has flown airplanes and gliders for 48 years. He started when he was 15 years old. He says he has been playing with car-plane designs for ten years and has built models of seven or eight different designs.

"I have no plans to commercially develop these designs." Bill advises. "I would like to see roadable aircraft be developed as sport, with both full scale and radio control models."

"Please consider these designs to be open for use and improvement by anyone for any purpose. I only ask for acknowledgment from those who might use or improve on them."
