The M400 Skycar

MollerSkycar

For over 50 years Paul Moller has been involved in the creation of the "Skycar". He and his organization, Moller International, set out to develop a feasible, personally affordable, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle. They did this in the belief that it was just a matter of time before the world demanded some kind of flying machine which would replace the automobile. Their machine would have to be capable of VTOL, be easy to maintain, and be cost effective and reliable.

A series of designs and models have been developed and tested over the years, and probably the most famous of them is the M400 Skycar. Tests and refinements on the concept still continue at their plant in Davis, CA.
