In July 2004, Tim Worley, spokesman for Trek Aerospace, provided an update to "Roadable Times" on the activities of Trek Aerospace,
saying that the company is "re-organized, alive, well and flying!"
Trek had been developing the "Solotrek XFV" (Exo-Skeletor Flying Vehicle) ducted-fan personal VTOL in 2002. It was a craft designed
to perform like a helicopter, provide the operator with a birds-eye view, be economical to operate, fly quietly, and be easy to maintain
and store. Work on the "Solotrek" was discontinued in April 2003 when the company was re-organized. The aircraft is no longer being
developed. However, Trek Aerospace did continue with their program of aircraft development, focusing on several new products.
